Independent review into off-site mercury at Orica Botany

The EPA announced in January 2013 that it would conduct an independent review of all information around historical mercury emissions at Botany. The comprehensive review, which was completed in April 2016, confirmed that the risk of mercury contamination for people who live, work or fish in the area is no higher than for the general NSW population.

The Botany Mercury Independent Review – Final report  (PDF 765KB) provides an overview of the 3-stage investigation.
