Breeza monitoring station

The Breeza monitoring station is located west of Breeza and south of Curlewis in the area where large scale developments are proposed. Commissioned in June 2013, this station monitors PM2.5 and PM10. Site is representative of ambient air quality conditions at the villages (e.g. Breeza, Curlewis and Caroona) and rural residences in this area.

The Breeza air quality monitor has been decommissioned due to the termination of the Shenhua mining lease in late April 2021.

*Note: Data between 17/02/2020 - 12pm and 20/02/2020 - 3pm is not available due to a power failure.

** Note: Data between 30/07/2020 and 06/08/2020 is not available due to a switching valve leak and calibration error of the equipment. This issue was resolved on 07/08/2020.

*** Note: Data between 7/12/2020 and 11/12/2020 is not available due to a switching valve fault which was resolved on 11/12/2020.

Please note that from the beginning of 2019, air quality data will be presented in a single consolidated spreadsheet for each month to make the data easier to access and view. The spreadsheet for the current month will be overwritten with an updated version each week to present the most available up to date data possible.

  *Note: Breeza monitor was replaced on 14.08.2019. Installation of the new monitor and calibration took place on 14.08.2019 and 15.08.2019. Therefore, data recorded on 14.08.2019 and 15.08.2019 has been treated as invalid.
