Reporting forms for levy-paying waste facilities

Waste facilities that are licensed under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (POEO Act) and are required to pay the waste levy (referred to as a ‘contribution’ under section 88 of the POEO Act) must submit the following reports to the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA):

  • Waste contribution monthly report (WCMR)
  • Landfill facility information certificate (LFIC) and volumetric survey report.

Waste contribution monthly report

Waste contribution monthly reports can be completed online via the EPA’s Waste and Resource Reporting Portal (WARRP). Login to the WARRP. Please see the WARRP User Guide (PDF 3.5MB) for more details.

Landfill facility information certificate and volumetric survey report

Refer to the Waste Levy Guidelines (PDF 509KB) and Volumetric surveys for details.

Reporting forms for waste facilities that do not pay the levy

A yearly waste data report (YWDR) is required from waste facilities that are not required to pay the waste levy and:

  • are located in the rural areas of NSW, or
  • are outside the Metropolitan Levy Area (MLA) or the Regional Levy Area (RLA) and only receive waste from the rural areas of NSW and not from the MLA or RLA.

Yearly waste data report

Facilities required to submit a yearly waste data report to the EPA will receive a link to an online survey tool before the reporting period.

Hard copy reports

Facilities that are unable to complete the YWDR online can obtain a hard copy form by contacting the Waste Data Unit at waste.levydata@epa.nsw.gov.au or phoning Environment Line on 131 555.

Completed paper forms can either be scanned and returned to the email address listed above or be submitted to:

Head – Waste Data Unit
Waste Strategy and Innovation Section
NSW Environment Protection Authority
PO Box A290

Completed forms can also be faxed to (02) 9995 5930.
