NSW Litter Prevention Strategy: Consultation draft

The Premier has committed to reduce the volume of litter in NSW by 40% by 2020 (find out more about the Premier's Priorities).

This draft NSW Litter Prevention Strategy (PDF 3.6MB) is a first for NSW. A critical part of the Strategy is the Litter Prevention Action Table (Attachment A), which outlines how everyone can contribute to achieving both our litter target and a sustained change of behavior in NSW. It also will be the framework we'll use to prioritise funding, both now and into the future.

The Strategy is one of a set of strategies under the Waste Less Recycle More initiative.

What do you think?

We want to know what you think about our plan to reduce litter volume in NSW. It is an opportunity to clearly express the anti-littering agenda that everyone can use and understand. We welcome your feedback on this draft Litter Prevention Strategy, including the action table. Please let us know what you think our priorities and actions should be.

You can send us your feedback online, by email or post. Your submissions must be received by 5pm Monday 31 July 2017.
