Wellington Fire and Rescue NSW
NSW Fire and Rescue Services (FRNSW) has investigated the presence of PFAS (per-and-poly-fluroalkyl substances) contamination stemming from the historical use of fire-fighting foams at its Wellington site.
PFAS was detected in low quantities in soil and residents of Wellington do not need to take any additional precautions to limit their exposure to PFAS. PFAS investigations at Wellington have now concluded.
