NSW local government air quality toolkit module 4: practical regulation of air pollution

Module 4 provides practical management options for sources of air pollution for activities regulated by local councils.

Local councils play a broad role in the management of local and regional air quality and are the appropriate regulatory authority under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 for what are commonly called ‘non-scheduled activities’.

Councils undertake the practical management of sources of air pollution for these activities and this module details the approach to take.
